In our opinion, all the students were very tired becase we got up very early, but we were happy to travel.

We think that the people could realise a lot of miracles, and we were feeling that miracles happen.

We noticed that the museum was very cool because we taught about Minas Gerais and the inconfidency.

In our opinion this church is very beautiful with a wonderfoul archtecture, and we were welcomed there.

We think that mine, in the past, was full of gold and it's very big, and we felt enthusiastic to see that mine.

We notice that church is very big and has a lot of ornaments, and we felt that we were smaller than another thing, because the church is VERY BIG!

Museu da Inconfidência

      O museu da inconfidência localiza-se em Ouro Preto, onde antigamente era a capital de Minas Gerais. Depois da inconfidência, o lugar foi abandonado. Dizem que Tiradentes praticamente morreu ali, por isso tiveram a ideia de fazer o museu. No lugar também funcionava uma prisão e uma câmara

The Ouro Preto's "Museu da Inconfidência"

Ouro Preto was once Minas Gerais' capital. After the Inconfidency, the place was abandonated. They say that Tiradentes died there and because of it they had the ideia to build the museum there. There, was functioned was a prision and as a chamber, in the past.

         A sala dos profetas foi criada em 1757, por Feliciano Mendes, que fez uma promessa a um santo para construí-la. Depois disso a sala dos ex-votos foi criada para as promessas e para mostrar que sua vida foi salva, caso fosse curado.

The profect's room and the ex-votes' room were created in 1757, by Feliciano Mendes, who made a promise to a church, to build it, and after that the ex-votes' room was created to the promises and to show that your life was saved.

Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosário

         Construída para os negros, a igreja de Nossa Senhora do Rosário tinha como objetivo "controlar" os escravos africanos. Esta igreja Rococó tem uma arquitetura abaulada, que veio da Itália e possui uma galilé. Os panos azuis nas janelas da foto são um sinal de que a igreja está em comemoração. Antes de virar uma igreja ela era uma capela.

Nossa Senhora do Rosário's church

Built for the black people, the Nossa Senhora do Rosário's church was aimed to control the african slaves. This Rococó church has a domed archtecture from Italy and has a porch. The blue cloths in the windows show that the church is on comemoration. Before become a church it was a chapel.

Igreja São Francisco de Assis

            A igreja leiga, da terceira ordem, de São Francisco de Assis possui grandes Palmeiras Imperiais em seu jardim e, segundo boatos, seus ornamentos foram feitos por Aleijadinho ou um de seus discípulos. Ela possui um cemitério atrás, torres arredondadas e possui abundância de imagens em policromia.

The lay church, from the third order of São Francisco de Assis has big imperial palms in the garden and some rumors say that the church's ornaments are made of soap'stone, by Aleijadinho or a disciple. The church has a cemiterium in the back side, rounded towers and has a lot of images whit policromy.

Mina de Ouro da Passagem

        A mina de ouro da passagem utilizou muito pouco o trabalho escravo, pois, com o trabalho pago, os mineiros trabalhavam melhor e o dono da mina ganhava mais. Ela foi projetada pelo melhor projetor de minas da época, um inglês. Na foto acima está Santa Bárbara, a padroeira da mina. Em uma das escavações, a parede que dividia a mina de um lençol freático se rompeu e, agora, alguns pontos dela estão alagados.

The Passagem's Gold Mine

The Passagem's gold mine didn't have so slave work because with the payed work, the miners worked better and the mine's owner earned more. The mine was projected by the best projecter of mines in the world from this time. In the photo lies Santa Bárbara, the mine's patron saint. While an excavation the wall that divided the mine and a ground water broke, and now it is, in its bigger part, flooded.

Saída da Escola

      06:00hs da manhã. Os alunos do 8º ano do Colégio São Luis, depois de colocar as malas no ônibus e de uma pequena missa com os pais e professores, para uma boa sorte na viagem, embarcam no ônibus para uma viagem de dez horas para Minas Gerais.

      Com uma pequena parada para o almoço no restaurante do grupo Graal, seguimos viagem assistindo filmes, conversando, rindo e dormindo um pouco. Depois de algumas horas, chegamos ao nosso primeiro destino, São João Del Rei. Após um pequeno tour pela cidade, seguimos para Tiradentes onde, em fim, fomos para o hotel.

Departure from school

The eighth grade's students from São Luís' school went on a 10 hours bus trip to Minas Gerais. After puting the bags on the bus and taking a prayer with parents and teachers. After a stop for lunch at Grupo Graal restaurant we continued the trip watching movies, talking, laughing and sleeping a little.After a few hours, we arrived at São João del Rey and had a quick tour around the city and then we went to the next town called Tiradentes and then we finally went to the hotel.
